Yesterday (09/11/10) I had to go from Fogo Island to Boror on the mainland (Africa) in extremely rough seas with extreme NE winds. I picked up engine trouble in the mouth of the river and was stuck in the waves with 4 locals on board. I phoned my friend in SA with my IsatPhone Pro and he gave me some instructions of what to look for. I managed to trace the problem, all to do with the rough seas and we managed to slip into the lagoon where I further attended to the problems. Was it not for my IsatPhone Pro we would have capsized, lost the boat and maybe lost some lives as my passengers were not the best swimmers. And believe me this phone is definitely water resistant as it got absolutely soaked. I cleaned and checked it this morning and all is still working well. Thank you gentleman, you saved us yesterday.
